Mankind - Reaching for Godhood

  1. Force multipliers: anything that increases work or the ability of a man to do work.

  2. Each time mankind has found a way to increase his work output he has advanced. A horse or an ox increases a farmer's ability to raise and harvest crops. Steam engine, gas engine, jet engine. As engines improved, more work could be done. War went from striking a man with your fist to atomic bombs. All of these things have increased man's power.

  3. But, a man is still a man. Scientists have seen no enlargement of man's brain, no increase in his intellect, no vast strengthening of his muscles or bones. In short - man is the same as he was 2000 or more years ago. But now he has jet engines, atomic bombs, and super computers.

    Great power requires great responsibility.

  4. Super computers have enabled mankind to solve problems that would have been considered impossible 100 years ago. There is a problem with mankind: the more problems he finds answers to, the more he thinks he is god and does not need the moral and ethical laws - he thinks he does not need God Almighty.

  5. But no matter how great mankind's achievements, without morals and ethics, without sane thinking, insanity takes hold. Madness creeps in. When the madness gets out of control, mankind self-destructs. It has happened before, it will happen again.

  6. People do not realize how short the distance is between civilization and chaos. That is why being civil is so very important.

  7. The Hindu Ramayana, Mahabarata and other texts speak of the hideous war that took place, some ten or twelve thousand years ago between Atlantis and Rama using weapons of destruction that could not be imagined by readers until the second half of the 20th century.

  8. The ancient Mahabharata, one of the sources on Vimanas, goes on to tell the awesome destructiveness of the war:

"...(the weapon was) a single projectile
charged with all the power of the Universe.
An incandescent column of smoke and flame
As bright as the thousand suns rose in all its splendor...

    An iron thunderbolt,
    A gigantic messenger of death,
    Which reduced to ashes
The entire race of the Vrishnis
    And the Andhakas.

... the corpses were so burned
    As to be unrecognizable.
    The hair and nails fell out;
    Pottery broke without apparent cause,
    And the birds turned white.

    ... After a few hours
    All foodstuffs were infected...
... to escape from this fire
The soldiers threw themselves in streams
To wash themselves and their equipment..."

It would seem that the Mahabharata is describing an atomic war!

  9. In the valley of Abydos in Egypt is the tomb of Osirus. According to legend, Abydos was where Osirus landed with his family. The ship he flew in on was called Pegesus (flying horse). He was reported to be the first Pharaoh. He re-established civilization after a worldwide cataclysm - perhaps it was the Nuclear war between Atlantis and Rama.

  10. "...he [Osiris] traveled over the whole Earth civilizing it, without the slightest need of arms, but most of the peoples he won over to his way by the charm of his persuasive discourse. " (Isis and Osiris in Moralia V, Loeb Classical Library #306, by Plutarch)

  11. According to history, Plato relates a story he acquired from Solon, a great Greek legislator and poet who journeyed to Egypt some 150 years earlier. While in the Egyptian city of Sais Solon received the story of Atlantis from priests. The priests respected Solon's reputation and cordially welcomed him. They also respected the Athenians, whom they regarded as kinsmen, because they believed their deity Neith to be the same deity as the Greeks called Athena. Therefore, she was believed to be the patroness and protector of both Greece and Egypt.

  12. The story that the priests told Solon was unknown to him. According to ancient Egyptian temple records the Athenians fought an aggressive war against the rulers of Atlantis some nine thousand years earlier and won.

  13. If you put all the accounts together, it appears that the Rama Empire extended over much of Europe and Asia. Though the Athenians won the war against Atlantis, it devastated world civilization to the point of sending most of the world back to the Stone Age.

  14. After looking over today's news, mankind still is not morally or ethically advanced enough to handle truly advanced things. The same as giving a loaded pistol to a baby.
