Man and the Universe

Concerning man and the universe

Q1: Beyond aesthetics and practical studies directly concerning the earth (i.e. - navigation, light, exploding stars, etc..) is the study of stars and the physical universe irrelevant? If so, why?

A1: The study of the stars and the immense magnitude of the universe is irrelevant. The stars and the rest of the universe are millions of miles distant from us - because of that, for all practical purposes, the universe can be ignored.

People are distracted by everything outside of themselves. It is what is on the inside of a man that really counts. What really matters as far as mankind is concerned is how people treat each other.

The core foundation of civilization is the Golden Rule: love one another. The open hand of peace held out and grasped in love and friendship. It is not limited by any external thing: aliens, weather, earth quakes, size, illness, wealth, etc.. What makes human civilization work is the internal moral compass. The person who has the Golden Rule fixed internally cannot be affected by the material external universe (no matter its size).

The conflict is between the material and the immaterial. "Love" - the core and foundation of morality is: thought, spirit, God. Understanding this, human civilization crumbles when it forgets, ignores, demonizes the moral foundation of civilization - God.

Q2: If we had never looked to the heavens, if we knew nothing about the universe and we did not know the source of light, do you believe we would have ever found it necessary to search for significance outside of the physical? Why? How?

A2: Yes, because people care for each other. People die. Death is the loss of loved ones. We never forget the people we love. That memory ties us from generation to generation. We remember the people we love and they remember the people they loved back and back and back to the Creator. Love is an eternal chain to God.

Q3: Is belief in a higher power (e.g., God) encouraged or discouraged by the infinity of the universe?

A3: It is encouraged. The sky is not only BIG, it is BEAUTIFUL beyond words!

Beauty makes no sense in a randomly created cosmos. If all was random, the sky would probably look like a static TV screen.

But beauty takes very deliberate planning. It is not all just random. The earth, sun, planets, and stars are ordered. Without order, we could not exist. Just slight change in the distribution of temperature or gases like oxygen or carbon dioxide would kill us all. The earth and the universe are very deliberately ordered for our existence, perpetuation, and beauty.

Without God: Government failure.

Why is God absolutely essential for a government to succeed?

[1 John 4:8] Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

[1 Corinthians 13:4-8] 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails.

Love.

True love cares for people. Leaders who practice the golden rule (love one another) practice patience, kindness, humility, grace, forgiveness - in other words, all the virtues of love.

A government that does not acknowledge God is a government that is full of greed for power, money, fame, etc. It is self focused, only seeking its own glory. Because it is compassionless, it is cruel, dragging people away to murder and torture when people do not agree to their politics or policy.

Love for people MUST BE the root and core from which all laws and administration grows from.

Separating Church and State - is another way of taking God out of government.

This is the recipe for disaster. It makes government a place only of selfish ideas and ideologies. A breeding ground for EVIL.

God save the United States! God save the World! In Jesus name Amen.

I want a new president.

Hypocrisy - Why Christianity Is Failing

I have been reading some old books lately. In the book "Sea Hawk" by Rafael Sabatini, the main character, a Christian Englishman named "Sir Oliver Tressilian" is treated most severally by family, supposed friends, and members of the Church. While this poor character suffers, Clergy ignore him in their luxury.

Eventually, he gives up Christ in favor of Islam.

After reading this, I asked the question: what is it about Christians that drives people away?

It is the hypocrisy of wealth.

The one thing non-Christians know about Jesus is: he was a humble carpenter. The money his followers collected was only for their minimal support.

And it is not just the Catholic Church that is guilty of this. The Protestant Churches have their Star Preachers – the ones who wear the really expensive suits, drive around in fancy cars, and live in mansions.

People see the wealth. And they say: this is not Christ.

If the Church wants a true revival, they need leaders who will show POVERTY and live it. This is what will bring people back to the Church.

The Church should feel shame that someone outside the Church should give the example of how the Pope, Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, Deacons, Preachers, and ALL the leaders and elders of Christianity should be.

They should be as Ghandi:

All Glory and Honor are yours Almighty Most High, now and forever, Amen!
